A bouldering friend of mine from Hong Kong knows that I love making things. She asked if I could create something similar to this clip she found.
After doing some research, I found this 3D model on Thingiverse.
I tried printing it in different sizes, and after a few attempts, I found the right size with the stability and print orientation I needed.
I thought this would be a good chance to introduce people to my blog, so I added ‘pretotype.cc’ to the hanging board.
Once printed, I did some basic sanding (as I do with every print), spray-painted it, and applied nail polish on top to protect the paint.

Looking back, I think the color wasn’t an exact match, and the texture didn’t fully align with the actual texture of the hanging board. I’ll definitely work on improving these next time.
